Inclusion and Diversity
At Ringwood CE Infant School, we celebrate inclusion and diversity by ensuring every child feels valued, respected, and supported to reach their full potential. We actively promote the British Values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance, of those with different faiths and beliefs. Our approach embraces the nine protected characteristics of the Equality Act 2010, age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, pregnancy and maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, and sexual orientation, ensuring that no child or family experiences discrimination. Through our curriculum and school community, we teach children to appreciate and respect differences, show kindness and love and build a strong sense of belonging for everyone.
Please see below our understanding of the protected characteristics and how we seek to promote and develop them in our day to day practice.
